"Call Me Irresistible - initial reactions & anticipation"
 
   After reading the teasers throughout the year, and more recently the first chapter and the listening to the audio book excerpt, I can't wait to get my hands on my copy of CMI! I also can't believe how understated Lil Sis has been with holding back from bragging that SEP has sent her an ARC of CMI to read. Lucky little thing!

   I'm still reeling over Teddy being Mayor of Wynette, holding back all that rage and fury he feels for Meg for ruining his wedding. It's so unlike him - here's this guy, who's so laid back, easy-going, happy-go-lucky, smart, succesful, sweet, sensitive, caring, loyal - and all I can think is that he's just seriously pissed off at the one girl who managed to change his entire life upside down. IMHO, Ted never stood a chance against Meg, so of course he has to fall in love with her. Sigh.

When this book gets released, I'm probably just going to hold it and cradle it for a few days before I even open it. Can't wait!

   I pre-ordered my hardcover back in July from Book Depository, and the price is now half of what it was back then but I don't care, because I at least will get a copy. Their listing for CMI hardcover is already out of stock even for pre-orders but you can pre-order the paperback which according to their site will be released in 49-days from today. That's the quickest I've seen a new release SEP go from HB to PB.

I jumped over to Amazon tonight and, yes, you can still pre-order the hardcover from them but the Kindle ebook is not available to Australia. No real surprise, although it certainly would have been nice to have downloaded it the minute it was released. I am hoping more than anything that Audible will have the audio available to us, though. *fingers crossed*

   That’s a really quick turnaround for the PB release. Isn’t it usually close to a year between the release of the HC to the PB? Could it be because it’s a non-US edition. I haven’t pre-ordered my copy yet, but usually in Canada, we get the Trade PB version and not HC.

   here's my plan. I have the book ordered on audio and print, through my library and I am first on the list.
I will buy whichever is available at books a million, and the other at anderson's a week later. aren't you jealous?

I ordered mine last week from Amazon for 14$! But I'll have to wait for a few weeks to get it delivered because I live in God forsaken place.

   I'll be waiting ages for my hardcover from Book Depository to be delivered down here, too. They're taking up to 3-4wks for deliveries for the last few orders I've had, so unless they ship it early, it probably won't arrive here until early to mid-February.

In hindsight I sort of wish now that I'd asked a Seppie who was going to one of the signings if I could ship it directly to them from BD's website and have them take it to a signing and then pay for the shipping costs for them to send it down here. Things you think of nearly six months after you've made your pre-order!

   Amal: I ordered the hard cover thru Chapters. I don't want the trade paper back in a book I will keep for ever. I got free shipping because my order was over $25.00. I am not sure when I will get it, but the rest of the order arrived within a week.

   I'm a litle peeved because I just realized that ordered my CMI with the first two Robyn Carr's that are coming out, so I will be waiting for it to arrive. Although, I really am VERY excited about it, I may not get to it until the end of the month anyway.

Wonder when Lucy's book will come out? In a year?

   I did the same thing. I'm afraid I might go buy it at the bookstore on Tuesday and then get the pre-ordered when it arrives.

   I have preordered CMI to my Kindle. I haven't seen anything suggesting it will not be available for Europe, but I don't dare to hope I will get it on jan 18 untill I see it on the screen. Keeping my fingers crossed! I will also order it from Adlibris (Nordic on-line bookstore) in hardback, but I think they will deliver it about a week after 18th.
I'm so excited! I've loved Ted since I first read Fancy Pants in the early 90's (it was my first SEP-book), and I'm sure Meg will be his perfect match!

   I will be in Jamaica on vacation when CMI is released; initially I was a bit bummed but I got an ereader for Christmas and I'm pretty sure I will be able to buy it on my Kobo while I am there. I will be thrilled if that is the case! If not I have it preordered and it should be in my mailbox once I arrive home. I can't wait for this book; I am ready. I read Glitter Baby then Fancy Pants then LBG then First Lady (oh and a reread of What I Did For Love) to get ready for this book. I am curious how the break-up of Lucy and Ted's relationship will be dealt with and how Meg will be treated especially since she is fairly close to Lucy's mom Nealy.

   Got it in the mail today and finished it! I loved Meg's sassiness. She reminded me of Blue in "Natural Born Charmer," which was the first SEP book I read. Loved CMI!
