They weather is getting extremely hot these days and I decided to cool down with a little homemade lemon sorbet. Caution: extremely sour (just the way I like it yumm)
1/2 a cup of water
1/2 a cup of sugar
1 cup of lemon juice
1 whole lemon zist
Put the water and sugar on the stove and heat until it boils.
Add the lemon juice and zist and let it simmer for 5-8 minutes
After that's done, pour it in a shallow container and put it in the freezer. Take out once every hour to stir. I like to leave mine over night so it freezes well.
