3. "RE: Ain't She Sweet Orzo Salad"
In response to message #0

I´ve checked Ain´t she sweet, and the Orzo-sallad is mentioned twice. (This is from my Swedish copy) 1. Orzo, fresh tomatoes, swiss cheese (I would use Gruyère, love it!) and home made garlic bread-croutons. 2. Orzo, hardboiled egg, tomatoes, pine nuts and avocado. I would add some chopped red or green onion to both alternatives, some sallad, maybe ruccola and a vinaigrette dressing whith Dijon-mustard. (I guess it would be better if SEP answered this, not me...) I also just realised I may have misunderstood what orzo is. I thought it was pasta shaped as big rice-grains. But when I googled it, I found out it is actually grains of barley (at least in italian). You can use either pasta or barley, but maybe barley is more healthy. Malin (Sweden) |
