"WAYR: Non-romance Feb 2011"

Sometimes life is too short to read books that you don't enjoy - no matter how worthy. I put down Black Swan Green by David Mitchell. I couldn't do it. It's one of those 'stream of consciousness' books that I struggle with (think Ulysses). Have switched to Carson McCullers' The heart is a lonely hunter. Poignant. Sad. Can't believe it was written in 1940 - it's themes of belonging and humanity and racism - still ring true. What are you reading? Efy (Sydney)
