"Hey Joan--about Anne Gracie."
 
   I just got a lovely reply note from her. I had written to tell her about my 8-book-Anne-Gracie-marathon Christmas and how very much I loved her books. I already knew she was in the process of writing Luke's story, but her note told me she was coming to NYC to talk about possibly doing Marcus's story too. Yay!! Two nice morning surprises for me--her kind note and maybe a book for Marcus too. A two-fer!

One funny thing to think about though is Anne having to come all that distance when all my life I've lived within a couple of hours of NYC--on various sides. It's kinda hard to miss and no matter where you sttart from, count on two hours! lol

Isn't it great to get a reply like that?

She absolutely MUST write Marcus' book so I hope she gets the go-ahead.

We often have author talks at our library - I really wish she'd come and do one. I'd love to meet her,

   Can you talk to your library about inviting her? Sometimes that's all it takes. I always meant to talk to my library about doing an event about audio books and inviting Kate Fleming to speak since she was local. I never did it and now it's too late. I think it would have been wonderful.

I don't think it will happen because she doesn't live in this part of the country but I keep hoping that she'll come up here for a holiday or something and we can nab her for a talk.

Maybe she'll do a book tour or something one of these days,
