I'm reading the second book of the Breed series and loving it: The Man Within. There are so many books in the series. Don't know if I'll have a reading marathon or if I'll break it up by library books as my holds come in. Hmmm. Decisions. Decisions.

I haven't read this book, I just felt the need to point out that the subject read as one sentence to me. As in: The man within Lora Leigh. I was thinking this one some kind of crossover book or something. LOL!

Luci, the main characters in Turning Angel are first introduced in The Quiet Game. And True Evil has some cameo appearances by Penn Cage and his father Tom. If you like taking a break from romances and reading chilling and gripping suspense, Greg Iles books are excellent.

I hadn't realised Turning Angel was a sequal until i started reading it, then I ended up not going back to read the first one. But I was always under the impression that it must have been a really interesting book. I think I have a copy of the one you are reading in my stock. Will check it out.

Based on the great recommendations from last week's thread, I've just started One Reckless Summer, by Toni Blake. So far, so good

After that one, I will read Hot Finish by Erin McCarthy (finally)!

I have a feeling it's going to be a good week...

Just finished Kisses Like a Devil by author Diane Whiteside. It was a historical set in late 1896 to 1901 and was really good. It's part of a series but you can read alone. I've read The Irish Devil and also met the author at the RWA and am really enjoying her books. Looking for a new author? I highly recommend.

I got the feeling that it was self-involved, navel-gazing narcissistic drivel. How close am I, April? It never held any interest and I always thought, "Why would I care about this woman's trip around the world, especially if she was going to get all "New-Agey" on me?"

Just my cynical thoughts on the matter.

LOL!! I haven't read it, though I've been curious about it since it's gotten so much buzz the last few years. I'm not sure how much I'll like it either because it doesn't sound like my cup of tea, but I'll probably read it at some point anyway. Just call me a masochist.

But I got EPL for free when ordering a book from a bookclub. Is that a good or a bad sign I wonder? I will give it a try, since there are Seppies who love the book.

After reading all the posts about LH's new book. I just download it and plan to start it today. I liked her books like Dream Man so I can't wait to see if she is back to that type of book. I still haven't read her last book Death ANgel. It has been in my TBR pile since it frst came out. I may have to tackle that one after Veil of Night. I wasn't thrilled with Burn or Ice so I was hesitant to get her new one. That is why I haven't read DA yet.

I totally agree Lynda. I think Nora Roberts And Linda Howards new ones have both brought back the style of writing we have been missing. NR's been hit or miss the last few years and the last 3 LH books were missing that classic story. I'm so happy to see them bringing back the writing style we all know and loved.

Taking a break from Lora Leigh's Breed's series and reading one of the library books I've been neglecting.

Barely started, but I think I'm hooked into this book, all though I'm reading out of order. This book follows Lord Perfect, which I tried to read once, but couldn't get past the beginning. If I finish this book, I have a feeling I'll go back and read it. I do this with series sometimes.

It was one of my favorites, but I think it should be a little sad based on the beginning circumstances.

I really want a prequel about how the parents met though it would be bittersweet as the dad died.

each time i read your post I wonder who the parents are since I did not recall parents in When He Was Wicked.

It just clicked this second that you were talking about Violet Bridgerton and her husband (Edmund I think?). Duh! Lol

This has been an extremely slow reading month but I managed to squeeze some in on holiday.

I finished Julia Quinn's To Catch an Heiress and really enjoyed it. It was the last book of hers i had left to read so now I just have to wait for new ones out.

Next I read ELizabeth Hoyt's Wicked Intentions. It was good and I am eagerly waiting for the sequal which, I have a feeling, I will like even better.

Now I started my first Leslie Parrish and its called Fade to Black - am sucked right in.

I'll be starting this book by Brenda Jackson tomorrow. I read the prequel to it a year or more ago. It was about a group of black male friends who all are determined to stay single, and one of them even wrote a book called The Playa's Handbook to give men tips on playing women without letting them talk them into marriage. Now, of course, in this next book, the guy who wrote the handbook is in love and changes his mind and tries to convince the woman he is no longer a playa.

They had the new Susan Andersen and Carly Phillips out early but I'm waiting for it on Nook since they aren't part of a series I'm collecting lol. I only buy actual books for series I've been collecting on my bookshelf.

I know there are more than a few Seppies who are LL fans...I've only read one Lora Leigh book (Killer Secrets). However, I read an excerpt of Renegade I found online and liked it! Now I'm waiting for it to be delivered to my Kindle when it's "officially" released.

I finished Leslie Parrish's Fade to Black and it was a great book. Ordered the following two books.

I had stopped reading Kimberly Fisk's Lake Magic before i went away as I couldn't get into it. Today I tried to continue it but it has a bit too much introspective thinking for me to get really into the story. Its good but I wish it would move a bit quicker.

This evenign I will start Jennifer Ashley's Lady Isabella's Scandalous Marriage.

I am trying to find out how many books there are in Elizabeth Hoyt's Maiden Lane series and who the characters of the other books will be. Does any of you know? There is info about the second book on her site but nothing of the rest.

Hi Kathy , thanks. i read Wicked Intentions and enjoyed it as I have enjoyed all EH has written. But i find that as soon as i start reading the first book in a series i want to know who the other books will be about. I read a bit of the next book Notorious Pleasures but cannot find if there will be more books in the series - which i am hoping there will be.

Luci, I'm not sure how many books EH is planning on writing in the Maiden Lane series, she does have a Makepeace Family Tree on her website. Also, on her Facebook page she said that she planned on writing Winter's story who is listed on the family tree as Temperance's (Wicked Intentions) brother

thanks Kathy, I saw the family tree but hadn't seen her say on FB about Winter's book. I also assume she will continue with Silence's story. Its just that I get all curious about sequals when i really enjoy a book. I start browsing websites in search of info tidbits. Thanks.

The third book is about Silence, called Scandalous Desires, and she responded to a private post that there would be more books, but not anything more specific than that. Hope this helps. I'm eager about this series too.

...Sins of Omission. This is an old one of FM's. I read it a long time ago and loved it and it just was re-released, so I got it on the Kindle for the trip...am enjoying it again. May even get the next on...Sins of the Flesh.

This is the third book of the Witches Knot series which I've enjoyed so far. She does a nice blend of paranormal and erotica.
