I'm finally reading Crazy for Love by Victoria Dahl. I've had the book for some time and picked it up to read but couldn't get into it. I'm giving it another try to today and so far so good. I've read the other Dahl contemps and really liked them. Hali Queens(1 of the 5 Borough's of New York City) |

This is book 3 in the trilogy. I've loved it. Almost finished and experienced the joy of immediacy when I was able to get the last 2 as ebooks. Its different, the hottie romance reader probably would be disappointed but I just love the 'fairy tale' feel to it. So won't be long and I will have it finished. Thanks to Dawn for starting me on this author. Kate New Zealand http://mistea.edublogs.org/ |

>Dawn, I just realized that Laura Z bought this book at the >RWA Literacy Signing. She kept going on and on about it too. >I got your PM with the link for free download, so I'll try >to save it for now to read later. > >If I had more money, I may buy myself an e-book reader just >for these free reads. In Canada, we have Kobo from our major >chain bookstore, but I think we also now have the Kindle >available to us. Let's see how I do with my finances by the >end of the year. My memory is fuzzy, but don't you have a blackberry? If you do, you can download the free blackberry application, and read it on that. I read books on my i-Pod Touch, and though it sounds unlikely, I like reading books on it; the size doesn't bother me at all. But that's a good idea to download the book while it's free, in case you get a Kindle later. If you don't have a blackberry, they have a p.c., iphone, itouch, ipad, android application. Jenny got it too, but I don't know if she got it free. She has the Nook. Though they're not alpha heroes, you really grow to love them. I think you'll enjoy the book. That's really cool that Laura Z. got it. I'll have to get on facebook and connect with her on it. Dawn "Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Aren't freebies great? When you finish it, you'll have to tell me what you think. I finished the first Breeds book, by the way. And I must say that I'm hooked. I was a little disappointed that the second book wasn't Kane and Sherra's book. I almost did some book-hopping to get to their story, but I actually had some will-power. I finally finished A Kiss at Midnight. It was soooo good! I'd venture to say it was one of the best new books I've read all year. I highly recommend it, especially if you like Cinderella stories. Oh and I have to add that if you enjoy sexual tension, this book has a great, great first love scene IMO! Now I'm reading Hot in Here by Sophie Renwick. I've never read her before, and it's erotic romance which I don't read often, but this book was getting tons of great reviews on Goodreads, so I decided to check it out. So far I'm really glad I did, it's GREAT! Tori in South Carolina |

Now that I've FINALLY finished my work project, I have time to read I'm currently enjoying the new Jill Shalvis Harlequin Blaze book, The Heat is On. There is a good book about the hero's brother that is part of a Blaze anthology, but it is not necessary to read it before The Heat is On. After that, Meg Benjamin's Long Time Gone: This is book 4 in the Konigsburg, Texas series...Eric's story. While I'm sure it could be a stand alone, this is one of those series in which the hero's story is build through previous books, so reading the first three books is really helpful (and not a hardship...I've enjoyed them all). STILL have not gotten to Suzanne Brockmann's Infamous...why I keep putting it off, I'm not sure. LisaA in Washington state |

That's why I like reading my erotica on my Kindle. Privacy. I think that I read on the Amazon boards that Canadians no longer have to pay that $2 fee for free books. I've gotten some pretty good erotica free. And it saves so much room on space. I have over 400 books on my Kindle. Ebook readers are wonderful. Dawn "Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Aww, really sweet of you Dawn! My iPod finally died on me, so I stole my mother’s Nano, until I can have it replaced. I’m not too crazy reading on a tiny screen, I have really bad eyesight, prone to headaches, never mind poor lighting in my apartment, so reading on my BB is not really an option yet. Our bookstore chain is having a Kobo Reader give-away, where you have to follow clues on Twitter. They’re giving away one e-reader a day, but from the clues they are nowhere near me at the moment. Crossing my fingers, lol

35. "Fiona Walker "Snap Happy""

I still haven’t had a chance to get back to Lora Leigh’s The Man Within, book 2 in her Feline Breed series, but I’m hoping to make headway this weekend. In the interim, I finished Robin Kaye’s Breakfast in Bed, which I really liked, probably more than book 1, but less than book 2. The only thing that didn’t jive for me was that I didn’t believe the hero was a psych professor – I kept imagining my psych professors from 5 years ago, and I just can’t imagine them to be as clueless, lol. Maybe if he’d been a History Professor…lol. While unpacking my books and trying to squeeze my entire collection into 3 puny bookshelves, I came across a book I’ve had in my TBR pile for close to 12 years!! Fiona Walker’s “Snap Happy”. I picked this book up from my dad’s store when I was 16 and I remember trying to read it, but finding it a bit to adult for my taste. Eventually, by the time I was old enough to appreciate the humour of a chocolate penis, I shelved this book under chick-lit, which for the most part, I do not like. But then all that changed when Laura Z. made me listen to Sophia Kinsella’s Can You Keep A Secret, which reminded me that there are some good chick lit novels out there. So here I am, reading away I’m only on chapter 3, but I am enjoying it. Partly because the heroine is a plus size comedian and the guy is a hot American photographer, who accidently end up sharing an apartment together and seeing each other naked the very first time they meet – funny, just realized that it has the same opening sequence to Robin Kaye’s Breakfast in Bed. Anyway, the book is funny in that dry British sense of humour akin to Monty Python or Benny Hill, plus there are tons of reference to British-isms that I’ve missed hearing like Timotei Shampoo. But the best part of all is that this book is spelt correctly in its entirety. How I miss seeing the letter “U” in the world colour, neighbour, etc. Sigh. Hope the rest of the book is as good!

I read Veil of Night and posted about it in last week's WAYR thread...LOVED it!! Loved Eric & Jaclyn, their banter, the guy talk, and the hilarious secondary characters. While not quite as good as Mr. Perfect & Open Season, IMO, VoN was definitely in the vein of those books. In the week since I've read VoN, I've found myself going back to it several times to re-read segments...a definite sign that I really enjoyed it Hope you both enjoy it as much as I did!
