It's her first novel and she's definitely a writer to watch for. It's not a romance but it really evokes the location and the ambiguous feelings of a young woman lawyer who is feeling out of her place. I really felt the humidity of a summer in Macon, Georgia- not that I would ever go to Macon in the summer, but she made me want to go for the cherry festival.   Printer-friendly page | Top

"RE: My Summer of Southern Discomfort" In response to message #4      I thought all of her character development was well drawn and I liked that it was gradual and we lived thru it with her.
