Subject: "WOW 40 years with the same guy!"     Previous Topic | Next Topic Printer-friendly copy     Conferences CELEBRATIONS & BRAGS Topic #1326 Reading Topic #1326 Lynda V Member since Apr-22-04 5966 posts Aug-21-10, 07:35 PM (CST)   "WOW 40 years with the same guy!"   Next Sunday (Aug 29th) will be our 40th anniversary! Where have all the years gone? Of course with all that has happened with Tim this past June with his lung removal, we have alot to celebrate! We have been going through all of our wedding photos, photos from when we renewed our vows on a cruise ship for our 30th and pictures of our kids and put them all together on a DVD with music. Tim does such a great job. We just watched the '1st pass' of it and both of us had tears in our eyes. We play to drive from FL to CT this Wed to arrive on Friday to the town where I was born and raised and we got married. Seeing as our anniversary falls on a Sunday, we will attend chruch that morning then have a get-together at my brother's house with family and friends. My brother was about 12 years old when we married and caught the garter! The photos are so funny, can't wait for his wife to see them. We are then going to drive across PA to see the town where Tim was born and visit some of his cousins that still live in the area. The on to Ft. Mitchell, KY for a Submarine Vet convention for Labor Day weekend. On our way home, we are going to make a little side trip to see MH and Andrea and the kids...I'm excited to get to meet them! We will be on the road for 2 weeks. I just pray that Tim will be able to handle it. He is doing really good, but still does not have all his strength back yet and does get short of breath at times. We both spent half our lives in NJ and MA, but we met in CT so it's very special. My relatives still live there as well.
