"I FIRED A CLIENT"
 
   I am usually such a doormat. I let people walk all over me..............
This client has put me through the ringer for 2 years.
But he has always paid me well and on time.

But this season our working relationship has become very strained and on FRIDAY
he cussed & yelled at me on the phone and then hung up on me.

So, I sent him a very polite email explaining that I was no longer working for him.


I am really proud of myself for taking a stand.
I will miss the money but in the end the stress was getting to be too much

Well good for you Dawn. Putting up with someone like that for 2 years was enough to give him the chance to come around...even if the $$$$ was good.

Life if too short to have to put up with that!

   I echo - Good for you Dawn. Your work life will be a lot less stressful now. It's a shame that he always paid his bill on time, you hate to lose a client like that, but the money is definitely not worth it in this situation.

Have you thought about what you'll do if he apologizes and asks you to take him back?

   Good for you, Dawn !! It's about time you took a stand and put him in his place.You put up with him far too long. As far as taking him back goes....I wouldn't if I were you...unless you make some things perfectly clear about how you are to be treated. Then if he doesn't comply...it's his loss.

   ppl won't give you ##### if you refuse to take it. congrats on a major milestone. it'll be easier next time to command respect, ppl sense what they can and can't get away with.

I did the same thing years ago and it liberated me. So happy for you.
