"Important day in Sweden!"
 
   1. The crown-princess Victorias wedding.
2. Vätternrundan.

Number 2 is more important to me. It is a 300 km bicycle-race around the lake Vättern. There are 16000 participants, and one of them is my husband. He has trained ALOT and hopes to complete the race in less than 8½ hours (it is crazy, I know!).

I will watch the royal wedding on TV in an hour. I'm against monarchy, but the crown-princess is a very decent person and I'm glad she has nice weather on her weddingday!

I guess number 1 is a celebration and number 2 is a brag.

   Congrats and celebrate!

I saw the pictures online of the gowns from the concert last night. Princess Victoria's dress very much reminded me of Michelle Obama's inaugural gown. Meh.

I think it will be up to you to post the photos of the bicycle race Malin. Good luck to DH.

   Pelle did the race in 8 hours 16 minutes! I'm so happy everything went fine, and I'm of course very proud of him! Maybe I'll finally figure out how to post pictures here.

And the crown-princess was a lovely bride! Absolutely stunning! And the bridegroom cried discreetly in church, wich was very sweet.

   I just read the news about your Princess and that she married her personal trainer - maybe it's the romantic in me, but I imagined their love story unfolding like a Nora Roberts novel: sweet, endearing, and everlasting

Congratulations to your DH. It's really impressive that he has the strength and stamina for an 8 hr ride - he must have some great legs, lol

   I read that too, and also that he had a kidney transplant while they were dating. Wow!

i loved her dress!

You might like to know that my board chair is from Sweden! He went to university in teh states and married a local girl and stayed.

they now have 2 kids.

   I thought her wedding dress was gorgeous, and she was brilliant.

I actually really liked her dress from the night before. It's a little less fluffy than Michelle Obama's. Obama's dress actually is quite nicer in person than I expected. I saw it in the Smithsonian. It was funny to see how a dress photographed (or how it was worn) versus on the mannequin. Some of the dresses were lovely on and didn't present well on display.

I liked the wedding dress a lot and the couple looked so happy which is the most attractive part.

   It was such a beautiful wedding. My fave parts were Daniel's romantic speech (loved the frog reference) and the wedding ceremony itself - I loved how they kept holding hands and touching each other. I think the lyrics of the song performed by Björn Skifs and Agnes Carlsson desribed it the best:
"If only you could see the way you shine..."
Both of them looked positively radiant!
