One of my favorite books is "Ain't she sweet", because of the various trials Sugar Beth goes through this moment in her life. But she is not our only heroine or hero in SEP's books that we see facing rejection from the people around them. We also read about the same situation in "Dream a Little Dream",and also in "What I Did For Love" with Bram. In their place, what would you have done? Would you have let yourself be run out of their like a bat from hades, or would you have stuck your chin in the air and moved on despite everything?
