Hi, I am a lurker but finally registered so that I can ask someone to please send the epilogue to me. I tried signing up for the newsletter several times and it says that I am already a member. However, I have yet to receive the newsletter with the epilogue. PLEEEEASE.... Cat |

I was surprised that it took place so many years after the book ended. And I agree with you, Susan...the original ending was perfect. And I am usually a big fan of your epilogues! I love finding out what happened after the curtain went down! I think I thought your references to Bobby Tom, Gracie and Wendy in Nobody's Baby But Mine were like an epilogue (we found out about the baby there, I think). |

I'll admit I was a bit surprised that you chose to do an epilogue set ten years later. I can see why it wouldn't have worked with final version of the book, but it's definitely something not to be missed. In a way, releasing the epilogue to the public now, as opposed to earlier, works really well too. Now that the series is over, it's more comforting to read about our favourite characters getting older, and growing their families. We got to see that with Phoebe, and now with the epilogue we got a glimpse of BT and Gracie's parenting style. More than anything, thanks for including Way into the epilogue too! Loved watching him play grandpa...who would have thought it, the biggest hood in Telarosa, hee-hee - Amal

We seem to have a lot of newbies with this epilogue; please, come to the main discussion board and introduce yourselves! We love getting to know new seppies! If anybody else needs the newsletter, I am getting a hang of it ( sent it to 6 seppies already So just give me your emails, and you'll get it! About epilogue - I liked it, really great idea about the long time passing in between, we really got the sense of closure but because I didn't know what the "ump" thing was, I kept thinking about the possibilities, instead of enjoying tho story Ana from Slovenia, Europe |

I really enjoyed the epilogue. You gave us a very nice glimpse at BT & Gracie's life ten years later. I agree with your decision to end HT as you did without the epilogue, it was a perfect ending for that book. Thank you Susan for the delightful treat! ~~~~~~~~~~//~~~~~~~~~~ "Nobody minds having what is too good for them." Hi all newbies! I just wanted to let you all know that SEP has posted the link to the Epilogue on the Main Discussion Conference Room, look for a post made by SEP entitled "If you didn't get the Epilogue to Heaven, Texas..." It might be easier this way, plus it will give you all a chance to introduce yourselves and gush about how wonderful SEP is - Amal |

Link below for those of you who signed up for newsletter but didn't get it. If you want to get future newsletters, make sure you check your spam filters! Re. the Epilogue... It was very clear to me by the time I got to the end of the book exactly what BT and Gracie's future would be. I knew Wendy would be the athlete and Danny (another child named after Dan Calebow. Just had to be.)would be the engineer influenced by Grandpa Way. It was also clear to me that, at some point, Gracie would have to become mayor to Telarosa. Broke my heart not to include that information when I wrote the book, so this was a perfect way to do it! Glad the Seppies encouraged me. http://www.susanelizabethphillips.com/heaven_texas_epilogue.html

I finally had the chance to re-read of Heaven, Texas so that I could read the epilogue. Now I can't remember where to find the epilogue to read it. Is it right under my nose or no longer available? Rebecca |
