"Judith Ivory"

I had no idea that Judith Ivory had only written six books. Her novel, Untie My Heart, came up in discussion at bookgroup today so I went looking for her website. She doesn't have one. Her fansite hasn't been updated since 2006. She hasn't released a book since 2002, which was Untie my Heart. Wikipedia states that due to back problems she was unable to finish and submit her book slated for 2007 release and an blog entry to AAR says that even her agent had not heard from her in a year or so leading up to the 2007 RWA conference.

Wow, here I was looking for a glom as she was spoken of so highly. What I found instead was a bit of intrigue, mystery and a little sadness that she has disappeared from the romance literary arena.

I hope she is well and okay, even if she has fallen off the radar.

I meet JI on this bb. Happened we both lived in Miami at the time and we agreed to meet. i was so excited. then, never heard from her again. then she disappeared off the radar completely. i've been looking for her for years now. don't know what happened except i heard she had health issues. i wish her the best. she is the best writer hands down in this genre (historicals) there is no better. she writes deep and in layers. i truly mourn her disappearance from the writing scene.
