"Begging for a Prayer"

My 73 year old father is missing. He and a life long friend took a bus to Nicaragua to get out of Costa Rica for 72 hours as his 3 month legal stay in CR lapsed. My brother called me last night to tell me he has not been heard from in 3 days. Please, please say a prayer for him to be okay and to return home safely. i am sick with worry.

i could cry. just got a cryptic email from Dad, said he's okay, but things got complicated. Have no idea what that means. But he's alive. Thank God. thanks for the prayers ladies, guess what? they worked! thank you thank you and thank you for your heartfelt responses and concern.

My Father came in last night and is safely under my roof. Thank the good Lord, cause I wasn't going to rest my weary head til I actually saw him. I want to thank you ladies for your prayers, concerns, emails, and white light. You have no idea how much they were appreciated and I felt the love coming my way. FYI, turns out dad is 76, not 73, which makes it worse!
He said the conditions in Nicaragua were really bad and he stayed in his hotel room for the 3 days. He said the poverty there was overwhelming. Kids begging for coins or food outside of restaurants, street corners, etc. And my Dad was staying in a touristy part of town, but still felt uneasy. Poor Nicaragua, they haven't been able to catch a break in a long time. It seems like they just have the worst luck. Costa Rica is a stark contrast. You just don't see that level of poverty here.
So thank you again ladies. you have no idea what a comfort is was to know that he was being prayed for.

   Thank you for the update. I can breath easier now.
Rox, I remember even 30 years ago the stark contrast between Nicaragua and CR. Even then,the residents of CR were so sympathetic toward their neighbors in the north. CR is an awesome country.

I feel so bad for countries that live with such poverty. It breaks my heart! I pray for relief for them.
