"UPDATE ON KEANO"
 
   A while back I told you about My cousin and her child, Keano?
He is back in Africa. They are in the process of adopting him through an international agency. His mother has asked them to take him back, as she has just had another child.

I just wanted to ask you to please keep them in your thoughts and prayers as things for him are getting tough there. My cousin spoke with him today and he has not eaten in 4 days and was beaten by the schoolmaster because another child broke a bathroom faucet. ( all of them are when no one confesses to the "crime" )

He asked her if he could take his school tuition money and buy himself some food.


We are hoping and praying we get him back soon......

   The poor thing! He gets dragged back because his mother wants him and now she's giving him up because she has another child. I'm glad he has your cousin in his life, otherwise he would have to hope for a future. Shall pray that the adoption goes smoothly, and quickly, and that he is back home with them in the US quickly. Thanks for the update, at least it is an answer to the original prayers that they'll be able to get him back, we just need to pray for it to happen sooner rather than later.

That is so sad. I feel so bad for him. He's very lucky to have your cousin in his life. I'll be praying for a speedy adoption.

   Dawn, thanks for the update. The whole situation is terrible for the poor boy and your cousin. I hope the adoption can take place very soon!

Oh how terrible! Poor little boy having to go through so much and not being able to get back to the people who want him and love him. I do hope they get him out soon.

   Thank You ladies, My cousin has contacted missionaries in the area ( ONE HOUR AWAY )
to pick him up for a visit. Where he can bath & eat.

The family is finishing up with their home visits and next is the abuse background check.

Praying for a speedy timeframe on all.
