baseball tonight, baseball tomorrow, and baseball Friday night at the NEW TWINS/TARGET stadium! supposed to be humid this weekend so taking boys to the beach. |

Mentally preparing for the big 5K tomorrow morning. This is a huge event for our small town. Something like 1300 people are in the race. Our kids are running the 1 mile. I am so proud of them. It is going to be hot and humid tomorrow morning. Hope everyone stays hydrated. It is going to be a little scary (health wise). Andrea in Sweet Home Alabama |

Have taken a couple of days of vacation and am now in Sunnyvale (aka Silicon Valley). Will be attending high school reunion tonight if I don't chicken out. Very interesting/odd to be here after so many years. I realized a couple of days ago that this is the first time I've taken off by myself in over 22 (yes TWENTY TWO) years. Elena

VACATION My mind and body needs to take the following steps: First, it's clearing off the desk so I can leave work in good hands while I'm on vacation. Second, I need to go to the store to buy things for vacation. Then, I need to pick up things in our other car (parked 2 blocks away). Finally, I need to PACK FOR VACATION. Hopefully, I'll be able to get some sleep tonight. We're both last-minute folk. Plus, because though we pack for ourselves, I'm the physical packer of the suitcase. So, I can't do my stuff until he does his stuff. On the other hand, he packs the car so he can't finish until I do. This leads to the traditional arguing before vacation. |

I'm hoping my air conditioner gets fixed today. I've been without it since Tuesday. But I've been staying with friends so it hasn't been awful. I do want to be back in my own place soon, though. Sleeping...
But I have to take the dog out for a walk (even thou it's 00:25 a.m.) then I'll take the shower and off to bed.But I've spend this weekend at the beach house and it was wonderful! The sea was a bit chilly but it didn't stop me from swimming, even my dog took a quick bath (then she barked at waves). Tomorrow is another pointless day for me, maybe I'll finish my final thesis so I graduate in time.
