"Celestial Seasonings"
| |
Today I went up to Boulder with a few friends and did a tour of the Celestial Seasonings factory. It is truly amazing and interesting. The tour goes inside their "Mint Room". It is where they store the peppermint. It was so intense! My sinuses were clear in a second. Their gift shop had some fun stuff too. Needless to say I bought a variety of teas. One of them is their grapefruit tea. I absolutely love it. I think it would make fabulous ice tea too. They also have some seasonings that I bought that smelt amazing and I think will be tasty. There was a tea kettle there I wanted really bad but it was outrageous in price. Any suggestions on where to find a nice kettle I can keep on my stove but also use? If you're ever in Boulder, I suggest you visit the factory! P.S. I saw boxes and boxes of Candy Cane Lane. P.P.S Can you guess what flavor is their number one seller?

I love that tour! We decided to do a neighborhood ladies field trip up there one time and all felt like Lucy and Ethel (in the candy episode) when we put on the hair nets! Do they still sell the boxes of tea for $2? Lizzie in Denver |

I'm hoping you mentioned the best selling tea it in your post! I've still got 1/2 a box left. It's snowing like crazy today so around 10, i'll switch from coffee to candy cane lane. 2 yr old Alexander and I have tea parties. WE make a pot of candy cane lane tea, then I mix his with cold water. He uses a cup "like Mama's." Sometimes he sips it, sometimes he slurps it with a spoon, and sometimes he pushes it away, sloppily, when he's done! |

I love the CS teas. I have tried the Bigelow brand and am not crazy about them. I love the fruit teas the best. I drink it straight--no milk or sugar. Right now I have the girls at work hooked on Country Peach Passion. It's smell is fantastic and it tastes like you have a whole peach in your mouth. they have the receipe how to make it as cold tea and I plan on trying that once summer hits. I buy the fruit variety sampler pack and recently tried the "True Blueberry"---delicious. Tasted like a blueberry muffin.( the tea color did not change to blue but as I was drinking it I wondered if I would turn blue like the girl in Willy Wonka---lol). Right now now I have Black cherry and Raspberry Zinger left. I want to visit the factory now. Hali Queens(1 of the 5 Borough's of New York City) |
