"BRIGHT EYES by Catherine Anderson"

Anyone here reading this latest addition to the Kendrick/Coulter family?? I'm not half way into it yet and all I can say is that Catherine has done it again....alot of humor, a person you just want to hug to death (and it is not the male lead oreven an animal!!) and a very touching understanding story!!

   Lynda,
What is the title order of this series. I've only read one and I don't think it was the first one. I love CA's books!

Also, I saw Blue Skies in the new releases last night at B&N. I thought it came out a few months ago? I'm really mixed up.

Hi Barbara...Bright Eyes' release date was 6/1 (today) but it was out before then in some places. The order of the Kendrick/Coulter series is:

1) Baby Love
2) Phantom Waltz
3) Sweet Nothings
4) Blue Skies
5) Bright Eyes
6) My Sunshine due out in 1/2005 - will be about one or both of the twins - CA isn't giving us much info on it yet....

But I am going on the 'Get Caught Reading At Sea' cruise in October and I WILL get more info out of her over a few glasses of wine!! I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO looking forward to that cruise!! Still can't believe my DH said 'book it' (of course he wants to meet CA and Vince Flynn too). I didn't wait around after he said that, I booked it!!

Thanks for the list. I thought Blue Skies was an earlier release.

How cool...have fun on the cruise, you will have to tell us all about it and post pictures.

Who is Vince Flynn?

Which one is Sweet Nothings? I have it, but I can't remember if I read it. I know I didn't read Blue Skies yet though. Is that the one with the horse? I get turned off by books with horses so I think I started it and never went back. I'm sure I'll love it, but I need to be in the mood.

I'll buy the new one next week, I think.

Sweet Nothings did have the horse in it...I liked the story, all the Coulters & Kendricks are ranch people so there was bound to be a horse in one of them.

Catherine always uses an animal in every story...she is an animal lover. She has a chipmunk living IN her house right now!! He got in through an open door and they can not find it...just knows it lives on the dogs food.

She has already asked me to do a dolphin swim with her on the cruise...should be fun.

Tell CA that having a chipmunk sharing her dog food might not be a smart idea. A chipmunk could potentially infect a dog with some diseases since chipmunks are not immunized. Cute though.

I also could couldn't finished reading this book the first time around. But that was because I haven't known it was a series. So I just sat on that book for a second chance.

Also, I felt it was too much like HORSE WHISPERER, which didn't have a happy ending in my opinion. It was a love-hate journey to read that book because I absolutely try to avoid book with cheating involving the main character. It was still a good read, different, but I haven't read anything by that author since.

Please give SWEET NOTHIINGS another try...it may start out as just another HORSE WHISPERER but he turns his 'gift' towards her instead. Yes reading the whole series would make you feel different about this story as you will get wrapped up in the 2 families. I picked up PHANTOM WALTZ first, my 1st book of CA's not knowing it was a series too. The 2nd book of her's was ANNIES' SONG which was another wonderful story...then I started looking for more and found that SWEET NOTHINGS was part of the series and went out to find the rest.

I now have EVERY book CA has ever written!! I am bringing every last one with me on the cruise for her to sign too!!

For those that are interested, CA will be at WriterSpace Chat on 6/13 (sunday for us US fans) at 8pm. I know she would love to have as many fans there as possible. In case you have never been there the url is: www.writerspace.com then just click on Chat Room and register (you can do this before hand). I know SEP has been in there often, so I am sure most of you have too.

Also you can check out the cruise at www.getcaughtreadingatsea.com to see what authors are going. I have already booked the cruise and got an invite to HIGH TEA with Mary Higgins Clark while on board!! That should be really cool.

I read Seventh Heaven last week- my first Catherine Anderson.
This discussion of the Coulter series got me curious so I looked online at the library and they only had one copy of the first book and it's lost.
So I put a hold on the next one after reading the first chapter exerpt they had on line even tho it had "gol-durn" in the first sentence. That was a little off putting, but the idea of taking a girl in a wheelchair to a tractor pull was intriguing.
