I'm about two thirds into the book and cannot put it down. The writing is just phenomenal, the characters are so developed, and the plot is so moving. My heart breaks as I read it, but in a good way. One of the reasons why I am loving FFTS is because LK managed to give a voice to so many people who have lost theirs. When my grandmother had her stroke, she lost so much of herself, and in truth I feared that we were lost to her too. Now, I find great comfort in knowing that my grandmother isn't lost, she's just not able to speak or voice herself as she once used to. I wish I could make the rest of my family read this book, it deals with so many issues at once, but at the heart of it, it is a romance with a happy ending, which is why this book is truly beautiful |
