I'm about number 200 on the hold list at the library, but I just saw thta she is going to be in town this week. Not just in Seattle but actually at my local B&N. I think it's the only night I don't have something going on this week so I suspect I will probably go see her. I went to see Jill Conner Brown (?) the Sweet Potato Queen last week just because it's a cultural phenomenon. I have the Big Ass Cookbook which is a hoot and she was everything I expected and Much, Much More. I have enjoyed her last single title books, especially The Villa and Birthright. Northern Lights sounds interesting; and of course I love the JD Robb books. Leslie near Seattle

She's very generous. I've been to a signing before and she stayed until every last person got a smile and a signature. She was hoarse and everything. I refused to stand in line, but it was only 3 people by the time I was leaving the building anyway. I'm always an hour early to all local book signings. I get paranoid and want an early ticket. Even for Tess Gerritsen where only 30 people showed up, they gave out tickets. Jennifer Weiner, they didn't, but they probably should have because it was totally unorganized (different, small bookstore). Sounds like you had fun, though. ~ april |
