That has happened a couple of times with me. Sometimes the blurbs just can't convey how good the book really is going to be. I wasn't all that interested in "Ain't She Sweet" when I read the blurb, but I decided to try it anyway and it ended up being of my favorite SEP books.
Interesting about "Breathing Room"--I recently tried to read it even though I didn't care for the blurb, but I couldn't get into it.
Oh well.
